  • July 2015- nerdwallet.com names Oro Valley and Marana as the 30th and 32nd respectively as the “Best Places to Start a Business in Arizona”.
  • 2015- Forbes magazine rates Tucson among the “25 Best Places to Retire in 2015”.
  • 2015- Travel + Leisure magazine named the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain in Marana as one of the “500 World’s Best Hotels”.
  • September 2014- The City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) recognized the Town of Oro Valley with the 2014 Silver Circle Award in Citizen Participation for the Your Voice, Our Future public participation plan.
  • March 2014- Movoto Real Estate names Oro Valley as one of “America’s 10 Safest Suburbs”.
  • 2014- Both the Washington Post and U.S. News & World Report name BASIS charter school in North Tucson one of the best five schools in the nation.
  • November 2013- The League of American Bicyclists names Oro Valley as a “Silver Level” Bicycle Friendly Business.
