Amphitheater School District
The Amphitheater School District educates more than 13,000 students in its 20 schools. The Amphi district offers 12 elementary, two K-8, three middle, and three high schools along the Catalina Foothills through Oro Valley. According to state standards, 74% of students are proficient in math and/or reading skills and the district spends more than $9,600 per student each year.

Catalina Foothills School District
The Catalina Foothills School District offers residents an early learning center, four elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school, Catalina Foothills High School. Known as being one of the better districts in the Tucson area, Catalina Foothills was ranked as a top performing school in 2014 for the fourth consecutive year by the Arizona Department of Education. The district was ranked as “excelling” in the eight years prior to that. The district’s website states that the goal is to help every child achieve in the classroom. Marana Unified School District
The Marana Unified School District offers 18 schools to serve residents in communities such as Gladden Farms and Continental Reserve. The district includes 11 elementary schools, one intermediate school, two middle schools, two high schools including Mountain View and Marana, and one alternative school known as MCAT. The district, which encompasses 550 square miles, serves more than 12,500 students. According to the district’s website, MUSD spends 54.5% of every dollar in the classroom.

Tucson Unified School District
The Tucson Unified School District offers a total of 86 elementary, magnet, middle, high school, bilingual, performing arts and Montessori schools to students living in Tucson. The TUSD offers interscholastic sports, studies in world languages and the fine arts, and offers a focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. There are also programs for alternative education and exceptional education within the TUSD.

Private Schools

Green Fields Country Day School is a private school that has been in the area since 1933. Charter Schools

BASIS is a charter school in Oro Valley that serves grades K-12 and prepares students according to the highest and most rigorous of international standards.
